Being downtown is an integral part of a St. Francis education. In 1976, locating
St. Francis downtown was an important and purposeful decision. The location
was chosen to more fully prepare students for college and life. St. Francis
High students interact daily with their downtown neighbors, eating lunch at
local restaurants, taking trips to offices, galleries, or the theater and
performing community service work.
The school purchased the historic YMCA Building in 1999.
