| As freshman, Walden students begin a college counseling program emphasizing the importance of matching the student’s interests and goals to the corresponding college or university environment. One hundred percent of Walden graduates go on to their choice of college. |

Walden moved to its Westport Road location in January, 1981.
In 2005, Walden completed a two-story addition to Bower Hall, including a remodeled gym, nine classrooms, a new high school science lab, art studio and a performing arts hall.

Submit school records
Participate in an admission evaluation.
A $50.00 application fee is required.
The goal for admissions is to determine that the prospective student can benefit
from and complete the program of studies. Students are encouraged to visit
and the evaluations normally occur at that time.
Walden School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, national
or ethnic origin in admissions, in the administration of its educational policies,
financial aid programs, athletics or other school-administered programs.
Walden School, is a K through 12 independent college preparatory school, It is divided into Lower, Middle, And Upper schools. Walden promotes small class size on order to individualize the approach to learning. In 2005 Walden had 254 students.
The majority of Walden students score between the 70th and 99th percentile
on standardized achievement tests.
Walden is accredited by the Independent School Association of the Central
States (ISACS)
